If movement is medicine, then Sumru Sezer has been self-prescribing for years. With a background in competitive volleyball, two cross-continental swims under her belt, and a stint in flag football, Sumru’s had her fair share of injuries that required a holistic approach. Needless to say, she maintains the belief that staying active and engaged is the key to a vibrant life.
A 360-degree approach to wellness has led her to pursue a variety of practices – including getting certified in Motion Restoration Therapy Workshops and yoga instruction. For Sumru, feeling good everyday isn’t just about hitting physical goals, it’s about facing challenges and pursuing life courageously.
Despite moving overseas three times and having a well-worn passport, Calgary is forever home. Alongside her husband of 15 years and their two children, they can often be found hiking, camping, watching (and playing) sports, taste-testing their way through different cuisines, or exploring different cultures and her own family heritage.
As Curo’s Office Assistant, Sumru keeps things running smoothly with her own magical mix of strategy, good judgement, and resourcefulness. With a background in corporate marketing and sales, she’s no stranger to taking on problems (and finding enjoyment in solving them). Beyond the logistics, she’s all about meeting new people—so don’t be shy and say hi!
